Wiccaphobia

The fear of witches.

I've read Hansel and Gretel so I kind of get this one.  That witch was scary for sure.  I know that I don't want to be fattened up on candy and then stuffed into an oven to be a feast for some mean old witch.  And don't think that I forgot what that witch did to Snow White either.  A witch giving you a delicious poisoned apple is a legitimate concern for someone to have.
In defense of witches though there are some really good witches out there too like the good witch from The Wizard Of Oz.  She gave Dorothy those really cool shoes and taught all the oompa loompas those neat songs and dances.   Sabrina the teenage witch also seemed to be an all around pretty good witch.  I didn't trust her cat very much but she seemed to keep him in line most of the time.  So while I understand how witches could be scary there are also good ones too.

Thanks for stopping by and come back often soon!

  1. Interesting one. Though there is a book out that speculates that the one in Oz wasn't such a good witch afterall. I haven't read it though but apparently Dorothy became not very nice either.

As a kid I actually liked witches. For several years in a row that was all I wanted to be for Halloween. Nothing else.

    1. You know, I used the good witch for humors sake but, honestly I never trusted her either.
