4/9/16

04/09/76

My birthday was April 9th 1976, and I understand that fact is only significant to me and anyone else who might either care about me or just be intelligent enough to know really important dates. The date April 9th 1976 however might mean a whole lot to quite a few more people though when you broaden the scope a bit and that got me curious as to what else went on and began the day of my birth.

I decided to research using the magical gift of Google and the Internet to see what I could manage to find out about it. We already know that on April the 9th 1976 the world got much cooler when I was birthed into existence upon God's beautiful blue green Earth but we want to find out what else happened on that epic day. The following few facts are the fruits of my labor on Google of the events that also occurred that day. Plus I threw in a few others from throughout my lifetime on April 9th.

The first historical event that I found by luck just so happened to have also happened on 4/9/76 and be really cool. The United States and Russia agreed on that day to the size of nuclear tests done for peaceful use. I liked that one and was glad that it was a positive one, the next one isn't as positive but it is still cool. In 1992 on April the 9th Manuel Noriega was convicted in Miami on drug charges. On the 9th day of April 2001 American Airlines acquired former airline giant TWA to become one of the worlds largest airlines. During the Olympics in 2008 on April 9th there were protests when the Olympic Torch was brought into San Francisco. In 2009 on my birthday the C.I.A. closed 'US Black Sites' which ran secret prisons globally. The 2011 government shutdown in congress over the budget ended on April 9th. So as you can see, and I already had predicted, my birthday is a pretty significant historical date that is important to many people after all. So in conclusion congratulations to me, and everyone else that was also born on April the 9th of any year because it turns out that it's a really important day that a whole lot of other times in history really great things happened besides us badasses being born.

If you'd like to find out what happened on your birthday like I did you can also do so on Google. Which is really easy and super fun to do. Then you could comment below on what you find out. Or if you don't want to, don't... either way thanks for stopping by Laughing at Life 2, see you next time!
