The fear of the Japanese
If you're not an allied soldier in WW2 you shouldn't be afraid of the Japanese. The Japanese are an adorable and intelligent culture and they make really cool toys and electronics. Now, for a WW2 soldier overseas I can imagine how scary the Japanese could have been. But today, things have calmed down significantly since then and things between Us and Japan have improved dramatically. Today Japan and the US have a mutual friendship. They make us awesome toys and gadgets and in return we give them all of our money. I think it's clear that things are working out beautifully too. I have so many neat gadgets that I may never need to go outside ever again. Just sit inside, play on my devices, eat and get all fat, lazy and easy to conquer. There can't be possibly anything sinister about that relationship.
However, don't get me wrong, Karate is scary stuff. And, I don't know any karate, and I sure don't want to ever get roundhouse kicked in the mouth, so I can see why that would be a concern. Plus people that can do math without a calculator are rare and, as we all know kind of super scary. Plus, have you ever seen a Japanese horror film? They are like super creepy times five. Honestly, the more I think about it the more it starts to make sense but still, if you are a Japanophobe, stop it OK.

This was too funny. You have a very Stephen Colbert sense of humor!

Why thank you, I appreciate that.
DeleteInteresting. They didn't hide the type in the name with this one. Some are hard to tell the connection but ones like this, well sound almost too obvious.

I know right? Trust me, if there were any other good J fears I'd have went with one just because of that but the pickings were slim for J.
DeleteMy son who is Japan-obsessed does not understand that this fear can even exist!
ReplyDeleteRight? They have a ton of cool stuff.
DeleteTheir sinister plan kinda backfired, even Japanese kids getting obese now :)
ReplyDeleteLol... That was funny. Specially like the bit on .. We gave them all our money.. Heh heh.
ReplyDelete5 boys, wow! Quite a riot that would be. I love the combination of a scientist and a crazy mum. I'm glad I stumbled upon you through the A to Z Challenge. Seems like a fun place. I can completely understand your husband's concerns specially since he's a doc. But I guess once the protective gear is in place one just has to let them go.
